My name is Paul Anthony Thomas and I’m a Texas-based asset manager.  Since the late 1960s we have been investing in private assets throughout North America. People always ask why do we choose private assets over the stock market? My answer is we are risk-averse investors and we don’t like the risks associated with the stock market. We require higher yields in our investments than the typical bond so we’re not bond buyers either.
